During the past year, the MolenVliet Team gained 1^st hand experience on how to choose your ideal beverages for your special day.

Here are a few Bar & Beverage Tips…

How To: Pre-Ceremony Drinks.

Start by making your wedding memorable; treat your guests with something a bit different:

Serve chilled Home Made lemonade, Mineral Water or Apple/ Grapetizer.
Serve the above in a variety of glass bottles or glasses.
Personalise the above by adding your wedding theme in the form of a ribbon, stationary or even frozen berries.

How To: Pre Reception Drinks.

The most traditional or popular choice is champagne or sparkling wine.

But let’s make some alterations to your list and add some more flavour to your special day!

Summer Weddings:

Pimm’s No.1 and Lemonade:

Simply add 3 Parts Pimms No.1 with 9 Parts of chilled Lemonade in a 750ml decanter, garnish with fresh Mint leaves, thin cuts of Cucumber and a hint of Orange peel.

Tranqueray Gin and Tonic:

Add 2 Parts of Tranqueray Gin with 9 Parts of chilled Tonic in a 750ml decanter; zest it up with fresh slices of Lemon and or Limes.

Home made Iced Tea, Apple/ Grapetizer and a selection of MockTails…

Winter Weddings:

Gluhwein:

For a cold winter wedding, you can’t go wrong with Gluhwein. The smell of fragrant spices, cinnamon and orange will definitely awaken the senses and fill that cold spot.

How to Gluhwein:

Add 2 Bottles of Red Wine (preferably MolenVliet Shiraz)

1 Cup of White Sugar
3 Cups of Hot Water
1 Lemon, sliced
20 whole Cloves
8 Cinnamon sticks
1 Orange, sliced for garnish

How to: Wine for Reception Drinks.

Choose wine that enhances the flavour of your specially selected menu, to add to your guests dining experience.

Depending on your set out Bar and Beverage budget, you either make use of a Tab or Cash bar.
